Aviation Tech Business Poised for Continued Growth in the Second Half, Supported by Thailand’s Tourism High Season and a Strong Backlog of THB 27.84 Billion

SKY Group (SKY) reported total revenue of THB 2.65 billion and a net profit of THB 223 million for the second quarter of 2026. Despite a challenging operating environment, the Group maintained its resilience through investment diversification and effective cost management, supporting a healthy net profit margin.

Looking ahead to the second half of the year, SKY expects that an easing of tensions in the Middle East could help reduce aviation costs. Airlines are also increasing aircraft capacity ahead of Thailand’s tourism high season, creating favorable conditions for the continued growth of the Group’s Aviation Tech as a Service business.

SKY has further strengthened its business structure through three strategic pillars—Profit Engine, Growth Engine, and Future Engine—to capture growth opportunities across both the public and private sectors. With a robust backlog of more than THB 27.84 billion, the Group expects to recognize revenue progressively over the next seven years.

Mr. Sithidej Mayalarp, Chief Executive Officer of SKY ICT Public Company Limited, or SKY, revealed that the company generated total revenue of THB 2.65 billion and a net profit of THB 223 million during the second quarter of 2026, covering April to June.

For the first half of 2026, from January to June, SKY maintained strong growth, recording total revenue of THB 5.44 billion, an increase of 8%, and a net profit of THB 523 million, an increase of 29% compared with the same period last year.

“Although the second quarter presented several challenges—including tensions in the Middle East, rising energy costs that prompted airlines to reduce flight frequencies, and lower passenger volumes during the tourism low season—SKY Group continued to deliver stable growth,” Mr. Mayalarp said.

“This resilience was driven by our diversified investment strategy, close oversight of our subsidiaries, and effective cost management. As a result, SKY Group’s gross profit increased by THB 162 million, or 19% year on year. This positive sign clearly reflects the Group’s underlying strength.”

Mr. Sithidej added that the situation in the Middle East would remain a key factor to monitor during the second half of 2026. If tensions ease, fuel prices and travel-related costs could decline accordingly.

At the same time, airlines are beginning to adjust their short-term operating strategies by reducing flight frequencies while carrying more passengers per flight and improving load factors. This approach allows them to accommodate higher passenger volumes on each flight while lowering operating costs.

Thailand is also approaching its tourism high season, when a significant influx of international visitors is expected. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) forecasts that passenger traffic in the Asia-Pacific region will grow by 5%. This represents an important positive factor that is expected to support the continued growth of SKY’s aviation-related businesses.

SKY Group continues to build a strong organizational foundation through three core business pillars:

1. Profit Engine

This pillar focuses on investments and shareholdings in high-potential companies, including Pro Inside Public Company Limited (PIS), which continues to deliver information technology system integration projects for public-sector organizations.

2. Growth Engine

This pillar includes SKY ICT’s Aviation Tech as a Service business, which serves as a key backbone for the Group’s revenue generation, as well as Metthier Company Limited, a Smart Facility Management provider that continues to expand through projects across both the public and private sectors.

3. Future Engine

This pillar focuses on investments in emerging technologies. It includes SKY AI Company Limited, which is working to pioneer the AI Agent Economy across Southeast Asia.

At the end of the second quarter of 2026, SKY Group had a total backlog of more than THB 27.84 billion, comprising newly signed projects and work awaiting delivery. Revenue from this backlog is expected to be recognized progressively over the next seven years, reflecting the Group’s potential to achieve sustainable long-term growth.
