AODB: The Heart of Airport Operations
Database
Aviation
A smart, unified database is the backbone of a modern airport. AODB empowers teams with real-time information to operate efficiently and confidently.
Project Overview
This project implements the AODB (Airport Operational Database) as the central database for comprehensive airport management. It integrates multiple software modules, covering everything from flight schedule management to A-CDM systems.
The system deployed by the company is RESA INFOPAX, an AODB solution adaptable to airports of all sizes, designed to enhance operational efficiency and enable systematic decision-making.
Developed Solution
The AODB (INFOPAX) system has the following key functions:
- Central Database: Stores and manages flight information, including schedules, updates, and flight status.
- Detailed Data Storage: Maintains detailed data for arrivals/departures, airlines, aircraft registration, passenger numbers (PAX), and load factors.
- Data Distribution: Sends information to other airport systems such as FIDS (Flight Information Display System), BRS (Baggage Reconciliation System), RMS, Billing System, and more.
Results and Benefits
It acts as a “Single Source of Truth” as it serves as the authoritative reference for all flight data at the airport. Operational Efficiency: Improves airport operations and supports systematic, data-driven decision-making.
